New Balance’s performance-geared categories have been winning gold medals, both for athleticism at the Olympics and for crisp designs with Action Bronson’s yet-to-drop colab. Alongside the crème de la crème of competitive running models, the Boston-based brand has doubled down on their runners for the everyday, namely the fan-favourite 1080 line, which has just welcomed its fourteenth version. You may have seen the 1080v14 before, as leaks within running shoe circles have plagued this release for months. Now, official word has arrived, slating the v14 for an October release.

NB has said themselves that ‘if we only made one running shoe, it would be the Fresh Foam X 1080’, and those who have used the silhouette as their daily driver can attest to the supreme comfortability. The next variation of the line is set to continue this reputation and comes correct with the famous Fresh Foam tech and signature textured midsole. Three colourways have been revealed already, with the two flagships being dressed in navy with a creamy midsole and colourful sunset-esque hits. The second iteration opts for a minimalist take, choosing a creamy green that exudes ALD vibes and is sure to be the favourite.

You can expect the New Balance 1080v14 to land on October 10 through the brand’s channels.
