Loco for Coco: New Balance Spill Their 2025 US Open Collection
The last Grand Slam event of the year is lunging towards the net (just 20 days to go), and you certainly don't need a chair umpire's view to see that New Balance take their role as grillmaster very seriously – they've cooked up some truly primo, juicy heat for the occasion. The brand have officially revealed their US Open Footwear Collection, featuring fresh colourways of their most popular tennis sneakers including the signature kicks of World Number 2 and Queen of Clay, Coco Gauff – and they're all primed to land on your plate ahead of the outdoor hardcourt action at New York City's USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on August 24.
The first two models in the collection are the Coco CG2 and the Coco Delray. The former is the shoe of choice for Gauff, and will drop in 'Urgent Red' and 'Monarch Burgundy' – a palette whose inspo comes via the burgundy kit and shoes Gauff wore while casually nailing her first Grand Slam victory in New York in 2023. Priced at $159.99, the new Coco CG2 arrives on August 15. Meanwhile, the Coco Delray is built for the everyday athlete and for all levels of play – even your garden variety wall practice. It's a super versatile shoe which performs well on a range of surfaces, and is equally comfy for kickin' it off the court. There's a women's colourway – 'Bisque' and 'Urgent Red' – and a men's: 'Bisque' and 'Monarch Burgundy'. Both of these babies drop August 15 with a RRP of $109.99.
Next up, the Fresh Foam X CT-Rally v2. The women's colourway of 'Sea Salt' and 'Lime Leaf' will debut at the US Open, and fans'll be psyched to hear the silhouette stays loyal to all the best bits of the v1 – but with a more refined finish. The v2 includes a new outsole, midsole and upper, and a more breathable upper mesh so your feet don't end up in a sweaty soup. It also sports a larger heel clip for increased stability, and underfoot there's an external shank for extra torsional steadiness. In addition to the women's colourway there's also a men's, which inverts the salt 'n' citrus colours. Worn by World Number 15 Tommy Paul, the Fresh Foam X CT-Rally v2 comes in at $149.99 and drops August 15.
Last in the parade is the FuelCell 996v6, coming in a 'New Spruce' and 'White' palette. Worn by Romanian powerhouse Sorana Cirstea, this model is built for speed, endurance and flexibility on the court. It's set at $134.99 and will also drop August 15.
We've heard whispered word that Coco’s bespoke New Balance tennis kit for the tournament will be unveiled closer to the actual comp, along with details on the inspiration that propelled its distinctive look – so keep it locked for all those incoming deets.
