Back in September, Nigo surprised us with not one, but two Air Force 3 colourways, and it looks like the designer could do the same with his second collaborative Nike drop. After a 'Light British Tan' pair made the rounds a few weeks ago, an earth-toned version has surfaced in 'Baroque Brown'. Like its Planet of the Apes-inspired counterpart, the pair features pony hair uppers, although its colour palette is a little more organic, with 'Fir' green overlays providing a break from tonal browns. Nigo is yet to confirm either pair, but both are expected to arrive in early 2025.
Hold up, is that another Nigo x Nike AF-3 we're seeing? While the first iterations are still yet to drop, it looks like another colourway could be in the works. A first look at the new pony-haired pair comes courtesy of @, who shared early videos of the multicoloured versions last month. The pair continues the along the theme of Nigo's favourite movies, and reportedly draws from Planet of the Apes.
Right now it's not clear if this tonal brown and beige colourway is going to be a Friends and Family release or if it'll drop later down the line, but stay locked to hear more info as it comes in!
Nike and Nigo have officially announced release details for their upcoming collaboration. The multifaceted creative and the Swoosh rolled out more info today, including an anime-inspired promotional video and official images of both the AF-3s and an apparel collection. Alongside this, Beaverton provided more context on the upcoming collection, praising Nigo's curation and taste, as well as his collector's spirit. The latter is said to be the main inspiration behind the project, which is reflected in its bold colour choices and pop culture references. Nike have also shared that this won't be the only instalment for the collaboration, confirming that each upcoming release will celebrate the intersection of fashion, culture, art and music through the lens of sneakers and style. The initial AF-3s are inspired by the movies and tv shows that Nigo loved when he was growing up.
The first instalment of the collection will touch down on September 28 at Osuma Plaza in Japan, humanmade.jp and the 'I Know Nigo' pop-up in New York, while a SNKRS release will follow on October 4. Pairs will also land at selected retailers on the October date. Stay tuned for retailer info, and new colab information as it comes in.
Kid Cudi has taken to Instagram to share another look at Nigo’s upcoming Air Force 3 colab. Cudder can be seen sporting the pair in all their patent glory alongside pieces from Nike’s Cactus Plant Flea Market colab. Peep the images here.

With Paris Fashion Week in full swing, one of the footwear highlights so far is the legendary Japanese designer Nigo sharing a look at his highly-anticipated Nike Air Force 3 collaboration. Revealed at the bookend of KENZO’s impressive Spring/Summer 2025 runway, the Rasta-esque colourway features a vibrant mix of pink, yellow, green, red, purple and black.
The partnership was first reported in April 2023, and sneakerheads have been desperate to get a glimpse of the collaboration ever since Nigo was spotted in New York wearing a pair of Air Force 3 Lows. Back then, Nigo laced a colourway ostensibly inspired by the cult classic Air Force 3 High ‘Escape’ from 1988. This new Parisian iteration no doubt broadens the palette with a bolder design seemingly paying homage to vivid 1990s aesthetics.
For its part, the Air Force 3 has often been overlooked in favour of its popular predecessors – the Air Force 1 and Air Force 2. Originally released in 1988, the Air Force 3 was designed to provide top-tier performance for basketball players. Predominantly a high-top sneaker to protect ankles, the AF-3 has maintained a cult following despite taking a backseat with mainstream audiences. The ‘Escape’ scheme originally debuted in 1988 and was reissued again in 2005, and it remains a long-time favourite among fans.
Currently, there’s no official details regarding a release date, but make sure to follow our Paris Fashion Week tag for all the latest news.
