Nike know a thing or two about super shoes and game changing innovations in the running sphere, crafting bangers like the Alphafly and the most recent Pegasus Premium. Now it seems Nike’s focus is going from the road to the trails, with a new model dubbed the ACG Ultrafly 2.

This fresh addition to the Nike ACG roster was first spotted on Swoosh athlete and ultramarathoner Caleb Olsen as he won the Transgrancanaria Classic. Olsen is known to rock the latest in Swoosh trail tech, so was most likely testing this newest model.

The ACG Ultrafly 2 is a follow up to the Ultrafly 1 from 2023 which wasn’t previously in the ACG catalogue and instead sat in the Nike Trail franchise. The first variation hosted a carbon Flyplate midsole, with ZoomX foam and made in partnership with Vibram. Nike have undergone a radical redesign for the Ultrafly 2, chunking up the build and adding an enlarged Swoosh that leaks into the midsole. We’re expecting plenty of ZoomX foam, alongside a Flyplate and Vibram outsole. Rounding out the design is the use of ACG logo detailing across the tongue and lateral.

So far Nike are keeping their cards close to their chest with the ACG Ultrafly 2, but keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker’s release calendar to keep updated.
