After originally releasing as part of the 2001 CO.JP initiative and later returning in 2016 to celebrate the opening of Kith Miami, the Air Force 1 'Linen' has been confirmed to drop in 2024. June 13 is the date to watch, with pairs already confirmed to land on and select retailers around the globe.
The Nike Air Force 1 'Linen' 2024 retro has allegedly been locked in to release on June 13. Team Swoosh are yet to officially announce this iteration, but stay locked to Sneaker Freaker, we're eagerly waiting.
A fresh look of the 2024 Air Force 1 'Linen' retro has surfaced courtesy of @pgknows, including a handy pic of the size label. While the label features a production date of December 2023, the style code is the same as the Kith-exclusive retro that dropped 8 years ago. Update December 1, 2016: The camera squad have lined the 'Linen' up to give us our first real detailed look at the upcoming Air Force 1 Retro. The colourway looks as crisp as it did in 2001 and it would appear that the Swoosh have pulled out the primo bovine to stretch across the upper. The release is exclusive to Kith's Miami store and will be raffled off on four separate days within two weeks after the store opens on December 2. Don't relax if you want the flax.
Originally released in 2001 as a Japan exclusive, the 'Linen' has remained a coveted grail for many Force fiends. With the majority of OG pairs blowing out due to age, we here at Sneaker Freaker have been eagerly waiting for this icon of Air to receive the retro treatment. Well, our prayers have finally been answered via a post on account announcing that the rare colourway will be making its return 'this weekend'. Unfortunately, it seems this release won't be any easier to obtain than the original, with Fieg revealing that the retro will be a global exclusive.
Strengthening the NYC connection, images posted to Nike employee have revealed that the release has been produced in collaboration with graffiti god . A special acrylic box has been produced to house the sneakers, decorated with Futura's signature atom graphic and tag. The box is rumoured to be limited to 50 units, and to be released exclusively through Kith's Art Basel Miami pop-up.
At this stage, it is confirmed that the Air Force 1 'Linen' will be releasing 'this weekend', exclusively through Kith. The specific date and time are yet to be announced, but keep your eyes open for further details – unless you want to wait another 15 years to add this pair to your collection!
