UPDATE: There's no doubt that a few of you out there that lucked out on the release of the Air Max 1 'Anniversary Red' – and by a few, we mean a lot! While owning a pair of AM1s in white, red and grey is a must for any respectable Swoosh rotation, copping an L in that limited release doesn't mean you need to go without. We just got a fresh look at the women's Ultra 2.0 interpretation of this Air Max classic, care of Taiwan's INVINCIBLE, and we're suitably impressed. While they mightn't be a true one-to-one recreation of the OG, the pointed toe is up to scratch and they come loaded with extras.

Don't forget, the women's Nike Air Max Ultra 2.0 in 'University Red/White' will be available from March 16 through Nike.com and select Nike Sportswear retailers globally, including  INVINCIBLE.

2017 marks the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 1, so the big bubble pioneer has naturally stolen the spotlight for this year's month of Max. As part of the celebrations leading up to Air Max Day, Nike have resurrected the original iconic red, grey and white AM1 in all its glory. However, a lot has changed in shoe technology in the last three decades. To capitalise on the latest and greatest footwear innovations, the Swoosh have produced a modern-day update of the classic silhouette in full OG colours. The release features a lightweight Ultra 2.0 sole unit and no-sew overlay for a streamlined appearance. The tongue features '3.26' on the tongue as a nod to Air Max Day.
