Nike Continue to Fuse Football and Fashion with the Air Max Plus ‘Tiempo’
Release dates are rolling in for the Air Max Plus Tiempo! The Grey iteration is locked in to land via EU boutiques on June 28, with a US SNKRS date for July 12. The black and white variant has already landed at select spots, with releases staggered throughout the rest of the month. An exact release date hasn't been announced for the red colourway, but stay locked for more details.
Nike’s tuned-up Tiempos are still yet to hit store shelves, but with the Euros just around the corner, the Swoosh appear to have another colourway on the way. Following on from the stealthy ‘Black’ and clean ‘Wolf Grey’ variations, the hybrid silhouette has now appeared in a match-ready red and white iteration. Once again blurring the line between the TN and Tiempo football boot, the pair boasts a near monochromatic make-up and features exposed stitching details in place of the TN’s usual TPU cage, as well as a removable shroud that reflects the classic boot. Breaking up the red upper, a bright white Swoosh sweeps across the sidewalls, while an Air-packed red midsole rests underfoot.
We’re still yet to hear of a release date for any of the Air Max Plus Tiempo colourways, but keep it locked for more info as it comes in.

To kick things off, the tuned-up ‘Tiempo’ forgoes the shoe’s usual mesh and TPU construction, instead opting for a sleek and stealthy black leather build and monochromatic stitched details – just like vintage iterations of the boot. The OG boot also features stark white Swooshes and a fold-over tongue, which have both been transferred onto the new model.
Admittedly the Air Max Plus might not be the first silhouette you think of when it comes to football (it’s not exactly a throwback footy casual staple), but there’s no denying the model’s place among fans of the modern-day game.
