Nike Air Zoom Mariah OG Flyknit Official Release Info
UPDATE: Nike's revamped Mariah is poised to be one of the season's star runners, and stores are flaunting stock ahead of its release. If you're in the market for a meld of new-age style and OG Air history, you'll be able to cop the Air Zoom Mariah Racer in its famed 'White/Blue/Infrared' colourway on June 22 from .
Nike have finally broken their silence on the upcoming Mariah by dropping release info and knowledge bombs at the same time. The Mariah’s influence on models like the Flyknit Racer is well known, but its clout extends beyond that. Released in 1981, the shoe is second only to 1979’s Tailwind to harness Air technology. It’s differing air pressures throughout the foot geared it for high-speed road racing; a performance aspiration that prompted its name change from the Curved Air Racer to the Mariah – a title rooted in a popular song about the wind. Re-released in 1988 in white, blue and infrared, the Mariah’s design encapsulated the palette of an era, informing now-beloved colourways first seen on 1991’s Air Icarus and Air Max 180.
The new version here has been rebuilt with Flyknit, Zoom Cushioning and Biro cables – proving that even three decades down the track, this road runner still has plenty of puff left in it.
The Nike Air Zoom Mariah OG Flyknit will be available on June 22 from the SNKRS page of .
