Run Book 1! Nike and Devin Booker are Dropping the ‘Forrest Gump’ Soon

Devin Booker’s debut signature with Nike, the Book 1, has fast become one of the most sought-after sneaks on the hardwood. Throughout 2024, Team Swoosh and the Phoenix Suns’ point guard dropped a plethora of heaters, with Hiroshi Fujiwara even teasing a Fragment iteration towards the tail end of the year. Now it’s been shared that a ‘Forrest Gump’ iteration has been locked in to land in January.

The cult classic 1994 rom-com Forrest Gump has always had long ties to the sneakersphere. This is thanks to the iconic scene where he is gifted the Nike Cortez by his wife. Of course, he wears them while running across the country, forever immortalising the colourway in sneaker culture. For the Book 1 themed around the iconic moment, Devin Booker has dressed his signature in the tones and even adding zig-zags to the eyestay panel to emulate the Cortez.

A release date for the Nike Book 1 ‘Forrest Gump’ has been allegedly locked in to land on January 22.
