The Nike Pegasus Premium is Almost Here
Nike’s Pegasus series is an icon within the running world, but its latest iteration ushers in a breath of fresh air. Unveiled during Nike’s ‘On Air’ event in Paris last year, the Pegasus Premium sees the series get upgraded with a full-length, sculpted visible Air Zoom Unit – and it’s already appealing to runners and lifestyle buyers alike. Now, official images of the Nike Pegasus Premium 'Airscape' have landed, so here’s what you need to know ahead of the silhouette’s release.
Offering a more elevated ride compared to Peg 41, the Pegasus Premium is – first and foremost – a running shoe, though you can’t deny its lifestyle appeal. Visually, it’s reminiscent of the Air Max 97 or Air Max TL 2.5, but thanks to its overall techy build it still rests comfortably in the performance category. The sculpted Air Zoom unit contributes to a more efficient stride, carrying the runner from heel strike to toe-off. Additional cushioning comes from both ReactX and ZoomX foam, which sit in the heel and midsole respectively, which work in tandem to produce a better level of energy return than any other shoe in the Pegasus series. Up top, the upper is engineered with a circular knit for better breathability, with extra reinforcement in the medial and lateral forefoot to support your feet during your run.
The Nike Pegasus Premium is expected to touch down in its ‘Airscape’ colourway on January 30. Hit the link below to cop your pair on the day.
