As you can see here, Nike’s current football boot catalogue is stacked to the ceiling with a flood of heavy-hitting franchises, from the legendary Mercurial to the recently retroed Hypervenom. Now, Team Swoosh are launching the latest innovation to their Phantom line, debuting the Phantom 6 – which they say is 'so precise, it’s scary’.
‘If there was one thing that I could ask a pair of boots to help me improve, it would be the precision to score more goals,' Norwegian pro Erling Haaland said of the new model in a press release. 'I feel like this Phantom allows me to do just that: shut off all distractions and focus on nothing other than attacking.’
Nike’s Phantom 6 was built through athlete feedback on a variety of the other boots within Nike's offering. Most notably, the Phantom 6's upper has been changed to the new Tuned Gripknit microtextured grip, which offers players greater precision. A Cyclone 360 plate is once again featured, but has been upgraded after testing, incorporating enhanced weight distribution. You can also expect the fresh Phantom 6 to debut with a new last and more natural toe box shape which gives more anatomically-based comfort to the foot.
The Nike Phantom 6 Low and High will debut at select stockists in Elite, Pro and Academy variations on June 12.
