The outsole definitely has additional grip added and the upper looks to have more padding added for durability. This is a super early sample, so don't fret if it seems disappointing! The model will go through more testing phases and it's unlikely this is an actual colourway.

Next year is set to be gargantuan for the Air Max 95, and we’re already expecting a flurry of retros. Aside from this Nike SB collaboration, you should expect the return of the ‘Neon’ in true-to-OG proportions, similarly to 2023’s remake of the big-bubbled 1986 Air Max 1. While always remaining a classic and never leaving shelves of sneaker stores, the Air Max 95 has experienced bolstered cultural cache in the past few years. Collaborations with the likes of Corteiz have pushed the timeless silhouette back into the hype cycle, with rumours the 95 is set to receive linkups with Central Cee and a Stash retro.
So far, Nike are yet to officially confirm the existence of the Nike SB x Air Max 95 as of yet, but we can only imagine this colab will see a similar concept to the AJ4 that took the world by storm in 2023. Expect plenty of tweaks to the 1995 model to make the Air-injected classic as skateable as possible. Unlike the 2023 Nike SB x Air Jordan 4, the AM95 doesn’t have a massive history in the skate scene, but did inspire the DC Legacy.
