The Nike Kobe 6 ‘Grinch’ stands among the most coveted hoops sneakers of all time, earning its place in the pantheon of all-time greats. Originally hitting the hardwood nearly 15 years ago, the Christmas-themed special of course took cues from Dr. Seuss's famous 1957 book, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! In the tale, the Grinch attempts to ruin Christmas by stealing presents, decorations and food. Luckily for us, he left the Kobes under the tree. Debuting on December 25, 2010 during a Christmas Day game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat, Kobe Bryant and the Lakers didn’t quite manage to steal any festive cheer from the Heatles, eventually falling to LeBron James and the Heat 96 – 80.

Now that we’re over two months into the NFL season, we’re seeing plenty of hoops-inspired cleats hit the turf. While numerous editions are 1-of-1 customs and PEs, we’re also being treated to some tidy GR models, including this remix of the lethal Kobe 6 ‘Grinch’. Retaining the classic visuals from 2010, the Vapor Edge features scaly green uppers contrasted with an inky black Swoosh. Kobe’s iconic red logos strike the tongues.

Look for the Nike Vapor Edge Kobe 6 SE ‘Grinch’ to arrive on November 22. In the meantime, make sure to check out our entire Kobe Bryant sneaker retrospective.
