UPDATE: Up against the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the 2016 NBA Finals, LeBron James looked to his footwear in an attempt to turn the tables on two straight losses. The Cavs superstar switched things up by strapping on a prototype version of the Soldier 10. Whether it was the shoes, skill, improved teamwork or simply bad luck on the Warriors end, Cleveland went on to secure victory that game and ultimately the championship in a surprise upset.

As the Cavs once again prepare to take on the Warriors in a repeat of last year's Finals showdown, Nike have followed King James' lead and looked to the shoes, treating the all-new Soldier 11 to an all-black colour scheme that mimics that of last year's prototype.

The LeBron Soldier 11 will be available May 31 through NDC and Nike Basketball stockists.

The all-new Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 11 has been taking the hardwood by storm lately, with a few different colourways appearing as part of the Cav's Eastern Conference push. They won’t all trickle down for public consumption, but we can add another to the list of possible pickups if they do find their way to retail – this simple black ‘Prototype’ colourway. The strapped, breathable upper is dipped in darkness, while a Zoom Air filled translucent blue sole sits in contrast below.

The Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 11 ‘Prototype’ will be available from May 31 at select stockists, as well as directly through NDC.
