Though we had Nike pegged to be more of the type to worship His Airness than the Holy Father, they do seem to have taken to the tenet of loving their neighbour. Pendleton Wool Manufacturers is just over the hedge from Nike's Oregon HQ, and a combination of their excellent craftsmanship and proximity to the Swoosh-lords has afforded them many a shoe colab. We last saw their work on a Nike Air Max 90 in March, but, as it turns out, that shoe is part of a larger pack that also includes this Air Max 1. As a flip of the 90, the Pendleton patterning leaves the mudguard and instead keeps the rest of the upper's overlays cozy in thick wool.
