Running Track To Runway: A Look At The Laceless UltraBOOST
UPDATE: A shoe well worth a second look, adidas have delivered fresh flicks of the new Laceless UltraBOOST to ogle. We'll need to wait until their European release on August 1 to see how BOOST-enhanced, lace-free running feels (we're betting it's very, very nice).
We really are moving into the future, hey? Today’s kids will never know the LOLs of seeing someone trip on their laces. Recently we’ve spotted a lace-free VaporMax, a couple of sock-fit Stan Smiths, and some fat-strapped PUMAs; the latest in the lineup is adidas’ Laceless UltraBOOST, the brand’s first ever lace-ditching running shoe.
A Primeknit upper has undergone some high-tech tweaks, working in a ribcage-like support system across the midfoot for increased stability and a flexible feel that contours to, and moves with, your foot. The obligatory BOOST midsole lends cushion, comfort and bounce to every stride.
adidas' Laceless UltraBOOST will launch in all-over white, and a darker iteration of marled grey and red ochre. Western Europe's stock will land first at on August 1; the States will follow a month later.
