The world of independent running brands is growing by the day, but there are only a few that stand above the rest when it comes to kitting out the elites. One of them is Copenhagen-based brand SAYSKY, who have now been tapped by PUMA to craft a multi-piece collaboration across both footwear and apparel.

The collection was inspired by the artwork titled ‘The Great Wave off Kanagawa’ by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai. Alongside the stonking number of premium apparel pieces is a three-stack of footwear options, including the ForeverRun NITRO 1, Deviate NITRO 4 and Deviate NITRO Elite 3.

‘Life and running are like the ocean – some days are turbulent, pushing us to our limits, while others offer moments of calm and reflection,’ says Lars C. Peterson, founder and CEO of SAYSKY. ‘Together, we embrace the highs and lows, knowing that it’s our unity and collective drive that make us stronger – and just like the waves found on these premium pieces, we are dynamic, ever-changing, and forever in motion.’

’There’s something here for every runner; race day items, bold prints and graphics, and stylish warmups,’ said Chad Holt, senior product line manager at PUMA. ‘Our inspiration came from the ocean and Scandi style, celebrating the dynamic nature of ocean waves much like a runner’s race or running journey.’

The entire SAYSKY x PUMA collection will launch on March 13 through the usual Big Cat channels.
