UPDATE: The second offering from adidas Consortium's Sneaker Exchange initiative hits stores this weekend and at last, care of Overkill, we have our first look at this marled duo on feet. The two silhouettes look wildly different, despite their united theme, but you really can't go wrong with either offering. Cop your pair from February 18 through select adidas Consortium stockists worldwide, including Overkill.

Sneaker Exchange is a unique initiative from adidas Consortium, introduced to kick-start collaborative partnerships between stores from opposite ends of the globe. Presented with the chance to collaborate on two silhouettes from the Three Stripes' umbrella – one old and one new – the project is bound to deliver some interesting results throughout 2017.

The next colab on the way brings us a transcontinental partnership between Sneakersnstuff and Social Status, two major adidas Consortium accounts that have experienced huge expansion from humble origins. We've already had a sneak peek at the 'new' component of this collaboration – a marled grey Primeknit Ultra Boost – but now we finally have a look at the pack's throwback entry. A matching Superstar joins the Ultra Boost. Both have been created with the theme of monochromatic luxury, though the classic Shelltoe cheats a little on the 'old' component. A healthy dose of encapsulated Boost has been injected into the midsole for ultimate comfort.

Both shoes from the Social Status x Sneakersnstuff x adidas Consortium Sneaker Exchange project will release exclusively through  Sneakersnstuff and Social Status on February 8. A worldwide release will follow through select Consortium doors on February 18.
