The glass masters since 1895, Swarovski have had a long history adding their coveted crystals to footwear. Limited edition sneakers began appearing in the early 2000s, and by the late 2010s, big brands were eagerly tapping Swarovski for rhinestone reworks.

adidas and Swarovski are rolling out the red carpet for a crystal-covered edition of their Adizero Impact+ baseball cleat with the help of Seattle Mariners centre fielder Julio Rodriguez. Retailing for an eye-watering $440, the shimmering crystalline edition is composed in ‘Light Purple’ and ‘Ice Lavender’. It’s not all just for show, either. The Warp Speed version of the Adizero Impact+ cleat is equipped with Lightstrike Pro cushioning and metal cleats for the turf, although you may want to keep these as a collector’s item considering the price (we’ll leave those head-scratching administrative decisions to you). The model also features an intricate bungee lacing system underneath the zipper shroud on the upper.

Only 44 pairs of these ultra rare Swarovski cleats were manufactured, so you’re going to need to be incredibly nimble on your feet to score these. The Swarovski-coated version of the Adizero Impact+ cleat arrives on September 17 for the aforementioned price tag of $440. Check out the full gallery of images above.
