PUMA Reveal Entire LaMelo x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Collection
It’s pizza time – and there’s more than enough slices to go around! PUMA have unveiled the entire Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles MB.04 lineup, which includes the MB.01, MB.04, and two colourways of the MB.04. The MB.01 is inspired by Baxter Stockman, while the MB.03 taps the supervillain Krang. The MB.04 lineup channels the indomitable quartet: Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo and Michelangelo. But wait, there’s more! PUMA have also announced a special MB.04 'Shredder' edition for sneakerheads that collect all four – limited to just 444 pairs! The TMNT x PUMA MB collection launches on February 1 with the MB.01, followed by the MB.04 colourways on February 8 and February 14. Bringing up the rear is the MB.03, which lands on February 22. Following the reveal of two TMNT-inspired colourways last year, we now have our first look at the PUMA MB.01 ‘Baxter Stockman’. Fresh off his career high 50-piece against the Milwaukee Bucks over the weekend, LaMelo Ball continues to add a kaleidoscope of colourways to the PUMA MB.04 line-up, with the latest involving an official collaboration with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The subterranean hook-up involves two distinct colourways, each representing two of the legendary turtles.
The iteration for Michelangelo and Leonardo showcases hues of orange and blue, reflecting their respective bandanas, while the Donatello and Raphael colourway features purple and red tones – again paying homage to their signature bandanas. Both designs also take visual cues from the Ninja Turtles’ characteristic green skin, with oozing lime green overlays and outsoles. Finally, bandana-inspired tongue graphics and TMNT x LaMelo branding on the heels and insoles add a nice collaborative touch.
It’s not the only beloved cartoon series getting love from Melo and the Big Cat. Just last week, we also saw the trippy Scooby-Doo inspired version of Melo’s signature shoe. Zoinks!
