The Nike Air VaporMax released to much fanfare on Air Max Day, and has since sold out nearly everywhere. But, in good news for those who missed out, Tom Yoo has proved that there’s more than one way to own the shoe. Known for precision LEGO-handling, he’s channelled his skill into recreations of rare sneakers. Yoo teamed up with Champs Sports to try his hand at the Air VaporMax, and the resulting work is a left shoe made up of 1,050 individual pieces. This is one tribute that certainly isn't a brick.

If you’d like to own any similar works by Tom Yoo, you can see what he has on offer at his website.
