Philadelphia’s UBIQ join with New Balance to create the ‘English Crown’, a royal take on the 1600.  Taking inspiration from the St. Edward’s crown made for the coronation of King Charles II, an influential figure in the founding of Philadelphia. The royal gave William Penn a large slice of his acquired American land and from there Penn went on to found the province of Pennsylvania.

Picking up the torch from UBIQ’s previous New Balance 1600, the ‘Benjamin’, the colab sees a continuation of the store’s lineage. The sneaker is constructed in premium rich burgundy suede matched with royally extravagant gold stitching. Finished with premium-distressed leather detailing and a classicly clean white midsole, the NB 1600 is highborn heat.

In celebration of the release, UBIQ has partnered with Goodwood on a chest to house the collaboration. Exclusively limited to only 24, each chest will be hand numbered boxes and include additional royal treasures.

The UBIQ x New Balance 1600 English Crown releases at online and at the UBIQ Walnut store on September 10.
