Wider Release of the UP THERE x New Balance 860v2 'Blossom'
Forget the Black Friday sales, UP THERE are officially launching their 'Blossom' New Balance 860v2 on November 29. It appears to be an in-store only launch via FCFS at their Flinders Lane location.
Oh, you thought they were done? UP THERE have a secret New Balance 860v2 colourway! There's currently no release details as of yet, but take a peek below and stay locked to Sneaker Freaker to keep updated.
The crep-crazy crew from Flinders Lane UP THERE have just announced release dates for their pristine 860v2, the latest link-up with long-time partners New Balance. You can enter their raffle ahead of the October 30 drop, but don't fret if you miss out, as a limited global release will go down on November 1 through New Balance's channels.
Our Melbourne neighbours over at UP THERE have been on a hot streak with New Balance of late. Unleashing a two-pack of ‘Backyard Legends’ 2002Rs, the boutique then followed up with a more subdued iteration of the 1906R, a model that has become a collaborative powerhouse for New Balance in recent years.
UP THERE are now bringing their trusty toolkit to the 860v2 in what once again looks like a homage to the native flora and fauna of Australia. A popular motif for the Melbourne crew, (their recent ASICS GT-II involved a homage to Victoria’s state flower, the Pink Heath), the latest 860v2 employs a mixture of 'Volt', ocean blue and earthy brown reds.
Typically constructed with open-knit mesh uppers and synthetic overlay placement at the toe and heel foxing, it looks like Up There are keeping the material components pretty much intact. In terms of technology, the 2010s performance runner utilises a combination of flexible ACTEVA LITE cushioning, N-ergy, and ABZORB SBS pods at the heel. The 860v2 joins a long line of New Balance performance runners that have enjoyed a second life as a lifestyle silhouette.
Currently, we haven’t caught wind of specific release details, but we’re expecting the UP THERE x New Balance 860v2 to arrive in the next few weeks.
