Oh snap! Yuto Horigome's next Nike SB Dunk Low has been confirmed via official imagery from Team Swoosh and it's been dubbed the 'Asparagus'. We're still yet to receive an exact release date and while it's thought early 2025 could be on the cards, we're hoping it's sooner.

Update12 Aug 2024

Hot off the back of Yuto Horigome's Paris 2024 Gold Medal win, new images of the 'Asparagus' colourway of the champ's Nike SB Dunk Low have emerged. The detailed look comes courtesy of @ iamricosuav, who shared new images and a video over on Instagram. It is worth nothing that the green tones here are a little lighter than the early images, but that could be down to samples or different lighting. Rumours now have the pair pegged for a 2025 release, but nothing has been confirmed by Horigome or Nike. Stay tuned for more info as it comes in!

Champion skateboarder Yuto Horigome looks to be coming through with another Nike SB Dunk Low, this time in a textured ‘Asparagus’ colourway. The gold medallist released his first SB Dunk Low last year, which sold in no time, and had the sneaker community wondering whether this was the first of many colabs from the skater and the Swoosh. Renowned sneaker sample collector @bitchlikemykicks posted the unreleased ‘Asparagus’ pair, and the rumour mills have been churning ever since, claiming the vegetable-inspired Dunks will land next year.

The pair features a suede base in a creamy beige before being complemented with a range of textures and shades of green. The olive green (or should we say asparagus?) overlays have a speckled texture that also hits the midsole albeit in a darker tone and the Swoosh coming in strong in a solid green. Lastly, the collar is constructed with a black/brown textured material that brings some dimension to the neutral palette. Horigome’s family crest once again makes an appearance, along with his name on the tongue tag.

One of the most talented skaters in the world, Horigome claimed gold in the inaugural Olympic men’s street event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. First getting on the deck at age six in Tokyo, he made waves in 2018 by becoming the first skateboarder from Japan to win a gold medal at the X Games.

It’s still unclear at this point whether this sample pair will actually see the light of day, but there will be plenty of eyes monitoring the sneaker calendar for these Yuto Horigome Dunks and his journey to Paris 2024.
