The Olympic Games is currently pumping in Paris, and brands the world over are vying to cash in on the event’s cultural clout with collaborations and special releases galore! Already we’ve seen special packs from Nike and adidas, but now New Balance have joined the party, and they come correct with a Paperboy colab. The Parisian 'it' cafe has chosen the Boston-based brand’s top-of-the line running shoe, the New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Elite v4, for their twist.

The product of years of research, New Balance's latest race day shoe is kitted with FuelCell midsoles made with PEBA material. Running fans were psyched on this runner, as it provides a reliable and comfortable option for distance; however, fans were a little disappointed that the V4 weighs slightly heavier than its V3 predecessor.

Sharing a first-look at this collaboration is BEAMS Men’s casual buyer @sng1980. Unlike the GR variants that New Balance have released, which host bright uppers, Paperboy have opted for a tasteful white upper. An off-white midsole allows for subtle ’N’ branding touches and Paperboy’s signature logo along the toe box.

Paperboy have also announced an August 4 release via their channels, with an activation and run to celebrate the release of their New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Elite v4 colab. A wider release is sure to follow, so stay locked to Sneaker Freaker to keep updated.
