The Paris 2024 Olympic Games have finally kicked off, and there’s already been plenty of action that’s been happening on and off the many fields and stadiums. For sneakerheads, there’s lots to love, from street skaters rocking the freshest board shoes to the new LeBron 22 debut worn by the GOAT himself. One unexpected, yet not surprising, debut wasn’t from an Olympian though, with Pharrell Williams coming through rocking his next Trefoil colab.
Pharrell, the rapper-producer extraordinaire and Louis Vuitton Men’s Artistic Director, is a long-time adidas family member and has worked with the brand consistently for a number of years. While having the honour of participating in the Olympic Torch relay, Pharrell donned the adidas Adizero Adios Evo Pro 1. This sneaker is a $500 top-of-the-line marathon shoe that first surfaced back in the 2023 Berlin Marathon when Tigist Assefa set the current record women’s marathon time of 2 hours and 11 minutes. Runners have been eagerly awaiting a follow-up release.
Pharrell’s collaborative Adizero Adios Eco Pro 1 has been dubbed ‘Earth’, and represents the swathe of natural landscapes that make up our planet. White covers the upper, with green, blue and black Three Stripes. So far, there’s been no release date announced, but stay locked to Sneaker Freaker to keep updated.
