A cult favourite among sneakerheads, Nike’s Zoom Streak Spectrum Plus originally arrived in 2003. Designed by multi-hyphenate designer and sneaker sage Steven Smith (who was recently fired by Ye as the Head of Donda Design), the silhouette was known for its flaming hot visuals and lightweight performance gear tailor-made for running. In fact, the shoe was specifically designed for a week-long relay called Hakone Ekiden in Tokyo, Japan.

Exhumed by Supreme back in 2018, the Zoom Streak Spectrum Plus is now lighting up Nike’s performance line. A homage to the niche runner, the Nike Vaporfly 3 and Nike Zoom Fly 6 are both red hot with vintage flame aesthetics. While Nike’s modern performance running oeuvre typically features oversized branding, the Swoosh have opted for more subtle uses of the Swoosh this time around to emphasise the flaming hot visuals, while the rest of both the Vaporfly 3 and Zoom Fly 6 remain largely untouched.

We don’t currently have any release details locked in, so make sure to keep it dialled to Sneaker Freaker for updates. In the meantime, why not check out our comprehensive history of running?
